Pilates

“Change happens through movement and movement heals.” – Joseph Pilates

When our bodies are fit, our emotions are more balanced, our minds are keener, we have more confidence, and we have better mobility in our daily lives. Regular physical activity is necessary for the optimal health of body, mind, and spirit.

You will benefit from Pilates whether you practice for 10 minutes a day or jump into a full class several times a week. You can practice pilates year around in the comfort of your home, your favorite outdoor space, or your favorite studio.

Benefits of Pilates:

  • Builds core strength and stability while improving balance throughout your body

  • Improves flexibility, range of motion, and ease of movement

  • Contributes to healthy weight maintenance, replacing fat with calorie burning, efficient muscle

  • Builds bone density

  • Boosts energy and endorphins through low intensity, full body conditioning

  • Improves your circulation through focused deep breathing and good posture

  • Great for lymphatic flow helping to cleanse and detox your body

  • Keeps your spine lubricated, your disc plump and your back healthy

  • Boosts your mind/ body connection, improving focus and awareness

Body conditioning improves your quality of life so you can enjoy “other” joyful favorite activities like tennis, golf, gardening or hiking, even cooking.

Pilates can be modified for all stages of life, including pregnancy, injury, and disease.
